Milke Dada trekking in Nepal is one of the least travelled trekking trails in Nepal’s Kanchenjunga Conservation Area. In fact, very few trekkers have walked this way up to the wild east of Nepal. Therefore, it’s an ideal route for those seeking silence and solitude. The breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga mountain and some other companions like Mt Everest and Mt Makalu will leave you stunned and give great opportunities for beautiful Himalaya pictures. Moreover, the region of this conservation area surprises you with lovely waterfalls and variety of vegetation. 250 species of plants and alone 25 species of Rhododendron have been recorded in this area. Especially the colorful forest with blooming Rhododendron is a real highlight of the Milke Dada trekking.
Further, Milke Dada and the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area lie in the eastern part of Nepal. This area is much more developed than the western part of Nepal but you will see the typical Nepali lifestyle with the vast cultural diversity. The more we climb up the more hidden and isolated parts we will explore. The warm hospitality of the Sherpa, Limbus, Rai and Lhomis communities will welcome us.

Milke Dada and the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area
Milke Danda Trekking is the pure Nepal experience: This trek is located in the eastern development region of Nepal. It is one of the easy treks in the Kanchenjunga region and has unique socio-cultural setting with a mixture of ethnic and indigenous communities who follow their own culture, religion and language. While walking along the trail we can enjoy the culture of major ethnic groups such as Rai, Limbus, Chhetri, Bhramin, Sherpas, Tamang, among others.
Some of the endangered animals that we can locate in the high regions are snow leopard, himalayan musk deer, clouded leopard and pangolin, among others. Pheasants are also globally threatened birds that can be seen in the Kanchenjunga region.
The rhododendron blooming time in spring and snowfall time in the winter is the most visited time here. Agriculture and animal husbandry is the main economy source in this region.
Milke Dada trek will be the true Nepal experience for the less experience adventure seekers. As this easy trek is on restricted area and it offers the view of the highest mountains in the world.
