Chandragiri valley hiking from Matatirtha Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu to Kirtipur (1400m) and walk to Machhe Narayan Temple (1530m)
After breakfast, we drive from central Kathmandu to the historic town of Kirtipur (1400m), a Newar heritage settlement famous for its ancient temples, narrow lanes, and rich cultural traditions. After sightseeing around the town and its iconic Bagh Bhairab and Uma Maheshwar temples, we continue our walk towards Machhe Narayan Temple (1530m), a sacred site dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The easy 1.5-hour hike offers beautiful views of terraced fields and village life. We then walk another 30 minutes to our hotel near Chobhar. After lunch and some rest, enjoy a short evening walk around the village before tea, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Trek to Chandragiri Hill (2551m) and return
Wake up early for a sunrise view with tea and coffee before breakfast. Today we begin our trek to Chandragiri Hill (2551m), a prominent peak southwest of Kathmandu offering 180-degree Himalayan panoramas stretching from Annapurna and Manaslu to Everest on clear days. The uphill hike takes about 3 hours through lush forests. At the top, we explore the viewpoint and Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple, an important pilgrimage site. After enjoying packed lunch at the peak, we descend back to the hotel with our guide, taking another 3 hours. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Visit Matatirtha Temple (1360m) and Machhe Narayan Temple (1530m) with Yoga session
After a refreshing sunrise and breakfast, we take a short morning hike to Matatirtha Temple (1360m), a sacred pilgrimage site near Thankot that honors mothers and ancestors. We then continue to revisit the Machhe Narayan Temple (1530m) before returning to the hotel. In the afternoon, join a 3-hour guided yoga session designed to harmonize body and mind, surrounded by peaceful hills and fresh air. Evening tea, dinner, and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Departure
