The trek from Kharta to Khangsung, the eastern face of Mt. Everest, is one of the most gorgeous in the world and only a few people are aware of trekking in Kharta Valley. We wish calling it “scenery in an intact”, so it remains virgin area to the tourists. This isolated region along with Mt. Everest contains the jagged Himalayan range of Makalu, to the North and East lies the arid Tibetan Plateau. The region is famous for its pristine wilderness, beautiful lakes and superb views of Mt. Makalu, Mt. Karma Changri (6289m) along with the enormous Khangsung glacier hanging from the East face of the Mt. Everest. There is an optional route to approach to Khangsung face from Rongbuk Monastery by crossing the Lakpa-La. There is also a choice of return routes one traverses north to the Sakya Monastery via Yeru Tsangpo the other to Xegar, which is on the Friendship Highway.The trek from Kharta to Khangsung, the eastern face of Mt. Kharta Valley and Khangsung Face, A trek to the East Face of Everest Itinerary

You will take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa, offering stunning aerial views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival at Lhasa Airport, our Tibetan representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in the city. The drive takes around two hours and introduces you to the vast landscapes of the Tibetan Plateau. The rest of the day is reserved for rest and acclimatization.
