Rolwaling to Everest region expedition
Remote valleys + Sherpa culture + glacier terrain
Embark on one of Nepal’s most extraordinary and rewarding Himalayan expeditions, an unforgettable journey from the mystical Rolwaling Valley, across the legendary Tashi Lapcha Pass, and onto the summit of Pachermo Peak (6272m), finishing in the world-famous Everest region. This is a rare trekking and mountaineering route that blends remoteness, wilderness, alpine climbing, and Sherpa heritage into one seamless adventure.
Your expedition begins in Kathmandu, exploring UNESCO heritage sites and preparing for your Himalayan climb. The trek gradually moves into the secret and sacred Rolwaling Valley, long believed to be the mythical home of the Yeti and revered by mountaineers as one of the most pristine and untouched regions of the Himalayas.
From lush river gorges and ancient pine forests, the trail ascends into alpine terrain dotted with yak pastures, stone houses, Buddhist monasteries, and dramatic glacier-carved landscapes. Reaching Tso Rolpa Lake, one of Nepal’s most stunning high-altitude glacier lakes, marks your transition into the raw wilderness of Himalayan ice country.
The journey then becomes fully alpine as you traverse the massive Trakarding Glacier and climb toward the majestic Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m), a breathtaking mountain gateway connecting the Rolwaling and Everest regions. With the help of expert climbing guides and fixed lines, you’ll navigate the high pass and prepare for your summit push.
Ascending the glistening snow slopes of Pachermo Peak at sunrise is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, rewarded with mind-blowing 360° views of Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Gaurishankar, and countless Himalayan summits stretching to the horizon.
Descending into the Khumbu region, you’ll pass Sherpa monasteries, remote mountain hamlets, and scenic forest trails before celebrating your accomplishment in iconic Namche Bazaar. This expedition seamlessly blends cultural immersion, technical mountaineering, and dramatic natural beauty, making it a dream adventure for serious trekkers and peak climbers seeking the ultimate Himalayan experience.
Once our trail merge into the main trails of Everest Trekking, we can also expand our holiday duration up to Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, Gokyo, Chola Pass, Renjo La Pass etc.
